The wedding is a buffet, mostly vegetarian options but some meat options since my fiance is an omni. Originally, the meat was very limited, but the chef said people would get angry. Seems ridiculous to me, especially considering how much in support of vegetarianism the chef is and the amazing vegetarian dishes he makes. so I want to show the chef that most people will be fine eating a vegetarian...

How can I encourage our guests ahead of time to eat vegetarian on the wedding day? I’m thinking of having the response card have something like a pledge to eat vegetarian that day. Any other ideas?

It's a wedding weekend!!!!
Today I met with my brother, Steve, and his boyfriend, Andrew, to discuss invitation designs! They’re both artists, an illustrator and graphic designer respectively. I can’t wait to see what they come up with! Something brilliant, no doubt!
And tonight, I’m cleaning because tomorrow starts the 5 month countdown and so I’m having a bridal party brunch!! So excited!!!

Maryland State Bar endorses same-sex marriage bill, says the Washington Post.
I’m psyched, and I’m really glad, but it brings back sad memories of last year’s failed attempt. We’ve tried this once before, guys, can we please get our acts together and vote for the right thing!?

how on earth can what is probably one of the most prescribed drugs be backordered nationwide!? Apparently, the shortage was already publicly known when I last refilled my generic adderall RX, but the pharmacy didn’t tell me that I was getting the last of their stock, and now I need to get my RX changed when my doctor is on maternity leave!!! grrrr
